This week we celebrated British Science Week by providing opportunities for the children to learn ways they can keep themselves healthy through a week long topic called, 'Healthy Me'. We learned about healthy foods, sleep routines, being active, personal hygiene (including oral hygiene) and mental health. Our environment was enhanced with lots of new and exciting invitations to play and on Thursday, we also had a special visit from Wayne, our school cook. Wayne talked to the children about healthy foods and brought some sample foods from the deli bar for the children to try.
It was a week filled with engaging discussions, playful explorations and enlightening demonstrations and the children were able to explain lots of new learning at the end of the week.
